I love to travel and visit places I've never been and I love to share those places through photographs. That's what this blog is about, the places I've been and where I'm going. I hope you will look at the blog and photos and check back later for other adventures. You can also find more photos on my flickr site at http://flickr.com/dewesemilstead/ or click the link below

Trying To Prep
We've been trying to get the camper caulked for several days now but it's been raining. Hope we can get a few days of sunshine to get the job done. On Friday I will order the slide out cover and tires. That will do it for the major camper fixes before the trip.

Vacation Moved Closer By A Week
We've moved the departure date to September 9th. The main road through the park, Going To The Sun Road, is subject to be partially closed after the middle of September for road repairs and possibly even snow. I want to make sure we get there in time to travel that road.

It's On-Trip To Glacier National Park
I've been dreaming of this trip for about 2 years. Randy and I had planned on going to Glacier National Park and Pikes Peak last year but the money wasn't right at that time so we had to cancel. We are going this time. We hope to leave around September 16th after work. I plan to have the camper packed and ready to go.
There are a few things I need to do to the camper before the trip: new tires, new slide out awning and new caulking around windows and doors. Our tag also expires in September so it will have to be renewed.
The Crown of the Continent is more than a million acres of alpine peaks, forests and meadows carved by glaciers. Some glaciers are still there. The granduer of this place is overwhelming and home to many species of wildlife including bear, wolverines, elk, bighorn sheep, marmots, birds and more.
I hope you will join us as we prepare for the trip and then join us for an adventure into Glacier National Park.
